Aprilia acknowledges the necessity of enhancing their motorcycle to appeal to elite riders

Aprilia's CEO, Massimo Rivola, acknowledges the imperative of enhancing their motorcycle to allure top-tier riders for the 2025 season, amidst rumors of potential recruitment of Fabio Quartararo from Yamaha.

Aprilia's remarkable progress in MotoGP over the past years is widely acknowledged, reaching a level of competitiveness that consistently positions them as contenders for race victories.
Given that several riders have contracts nearing expiration, securing a high-profile signing could further boost the Italian team in the standings. The most notable rumor involving Aprilia involves the possible acquisition of the 2021 champion, Quartararo, who has been facing difficulties at Yamaha since last season.

The French rider openly discusses his racing future for 2025 with various manufacturers, considering the current team's lack of competitiveness.

Aprilia acknowledges the necessity of further developing its motorcycle to attract Quartararo or other top riders.

Regarding any contact between Aprilia and Quartararo, Rivola stated, "We are pleased with our current riders but exploring options. Improving our motorcycle is our priority."

As Quartararo nears a decision on his MotoGP future, Rivola stresses Aprilia's focus on developing a better bike.

Aleix Espargaro's loyalty makes a contract extension likely, given his tenure since 2017.

Vinales' strong showing in Portimao may bolster his chances of remaining with the team.
