 Rare Böhmerland Auction

Until December 29, a rare and exceptional piece is up for auction on the specialized platform Catawiki: a 1931 Böhmerland 600. This historic motorcycle holds the record as the world’s longest production bike, measuring over 3 meters in length.

Founded in 1924 in Czechoslovakia by Albin Liebisch, Böhmerland—which translates to “Bohemian Land” in German—produced motorcycles with unique innovations such as cast aluminum wheels. Despite its groundbreaking designs, the company ceased operations in 1939, just before the outbreak of World War II.

One of the very few surviving models of the 600cc Böhmerland is now available for bidding. Fully functional and restored, this motorcycle comes with valid registration, making it road-legal in most European countries. It also includes historical documents from Czechoslovakia and a 1936 repair invoice.

With only 700 units originally produced and around 30 known to exist worldwide, this motorcycle is a true collector's gem. Valued between €85,000 and €95,000 by Catawiki’s motorcycle expert Davide Marelli, its rarity and excellent condition are expected to drive fierce competition among bidders.

Recently, a non-operational Böhmerland sold for £53,000 (about €64,000), further highlighting the significance of this fully functioning model.
